I sucked on the treadmill today. I went to a different one so I could see the TV better when I’m running, because I moving around too much to read and the machine felt totally off. So it sucked. =( I’ll pay for it tomorrow….it is work the legs day with my trainer.

Felt off the rest of the day. Doesn’t help that it stayed pretty overcast and chiller then the last few days.

It was great to see the Celtics win! I really wanted them to win and in Boston, even though I hated seeing them lose in LA.

But that wasn’t as enjoyable as it should’ve been. My sister called and one of my nephews is in the hospital. They don’t know what is wrong except that the ER think it is his brain, they have him on a breathing machine and the CAT scan didn’t show anything so he was going for a MRI. He had headaches last night and got sick today and was glassy in the eyes….then the hospital was like you need to get your husband here. That is not a normal thing….. =( So my thoughts have been with her and the family.

Today was kind of hoo-hum, in that I really didn’t even try to do anything productive work wise, even if in the end I did do some.  During the week we may do errands and stuff, but I actually try to focus on work.  Today was like, what ever……lol

Went tanning for the 1st time in 2 weeks, so my face is slightly red but not too bad.  Did a little house work when I got home.  And then we practiced getting our tent up in living room while waiting for the Belmont.  We figured it out, but they really need to give better directions…at least for the 1st few times and for packing away the frame.  You can never repack it as tight as you got it.  =(  We are going to do a few more times and then time ourselves.  =)  Got the sleeping bags out to see how to zip them up together….didn’t happen….one is a left zipper and the other is a right zipper…you are suppose to be able to put them together, at least that is what we were told.    But it was interesting practice…lol

During this we stopped to watch the last leg of the Triple Crown.  Big Brown didn’t win.  =(   We won’t be surprised if it was the heat that got to him.

The weather let up enough to go walking this afternoon.  Took the camera, but not many pictures.  I just feel that I’ve seen it all and nothing is popping.  Which is disappointing…I love getting nature pictures.  So I spent most of my time walking talking to my folks and making sure that they didn’t get flooded out in Indiana.

We just got done watching the Goonies That was fun to see again, without all the commercials that TV put into it.  And I got some work done while watching.  Debating on setting myself downstairs tomorrow…..just so we can watch some of the movies we have DVR.

I did get some work done, but after taking it lazy today.

We watched the Indy 500, been out of Indiana since sumer of 2004 but not use to being able to watch it while it takes place.  For some stupid reason, the black it out in Indiana and don’t show it until after it has been run, even if it has been sold out….morons.  We aren’t racing fans, but it is the big event, so we watched it.  We really wanted to Patrick  or Castroneves to win it, but it wasn’t meant to be…..didn’t help that Patrick couldn’t get her car up to speed.  It really shows how important the engineering of cars are to winning a race, not just the driving.  I still can’t believe Andretti knocked out a team mate….that was messed up.   Felt horrible for Sarah Fisher.  =(  Wow, Carpentar was like 15-16 laps down and finished in 5th….that was very cool.

Afterwards it was my normal weekly attack on the household cleaning.  We trimmed some of the dead leaves off of our household plants and I worked on the rose bush that we brought.  Since we aren’t planning on staying here, we planted it in a big pot so we can take it with us.  It feels great to have a rose bush again, I use to have about 8-10 of them Indiana.  I hated not having one in Florida, the climate is horrible for them.  Most of the things that we love grow so well here.

There is nothing like being able to step outside and smell the freshness.  I don’t remember having that in Florida.  We really enjoy it.

Started to do some work in the late evening and now I just don’t want to do a thing.  I believe I’ve earned it.  =)  Beside tomorrow is a day with my trainer……can you say ouch……lol For a day that wasn’t very intense, I’m pretty tired….very strange.  =)

Everytime we visit, we have to stop and see the falls.  The power of the falls is just awesome to see and not something that ever gets old.

I really love how the red of the Flag contrasts with the blues of the sky and it’s reflection into the river.

Just got done watching the Derby….The Run for the Roses….it was a good race until it ended… We were pulling for Eight Belles and you could see that couldn’t catch Big Brown but she did very well…then she broke both her front ankles. =( For those who followed what happened to Barbaro, leg breaks are pretty much a death sense for a horse…..and that is what it was for her, she was euthanized right on the track after collapsing. Of course, I’m still crying…….it is HORRIBLE to see a horse go down….I still can’t handle the replays on Barbaro’s break.

Current Mood: Crappy & Sickly

It is currently overcast, chilly and rainy. More of the hard rain. Which seems to be fitting because I feel yucky. I can’t even really describe what feels yucky, I just feel it. Torn has been feeling like that on and off for a while.

I know I need to get us some lunch, I need to eat, but the thought of eating is unpleasant. I’m tempted to lay down for a little bit. =( Took me forever to sleep last night and it wasn’t very good. Hopefully that is only for one night, Torn has been having issues for over a week now. =( So tonight probably going to take some meds.

I finally got to see all of Thursday Democratic Debate. I had dvr the CNN replay late Thursday night but when there was about 10 minutes left in it CNN went straight back to the introductions? Weird. So I downloaded it from CNN’s site and watched it on my iPod. Richardson & Dodd were very presidential in their responses even though Richardson flubbed on the Supreme Court nominees question. Clinton seemed to have gotten back on her feet. Obama & Edwards was disappointing. Biden and Kucinich got a few quips in. We’ll see…………

Ohio St is going to the Rose Bowl and hopefully their win will help in them in the national rankings even though they are out of the BCS due to the Illni lost. Purdue is playing IU now………of course, comcast does not have the Big Ten Network……gggrrr So Torn has the play-by-play up on his pc.

Alright, the pregame show sucked.  I never thought that music with Latin beats can be showcased as boring……..well Cir Da La Sole succeed in doing that.  They are so over rated.

The commercials aren’t very good.

And that is all on the top that the Bears scored on kick off, Colts have had an interception and are down by 8…..yuck!

Indiana Town Divided by the Super Bowl

It is so weird to see towns that we know, have been to on major news networks. On the CNN video, it starts in Merriville…………hell that is where I learned how to drive to get to the mall. And then all the way down I-65 to Lebannon………. Both Torn and I have been up and down that stretch of road so many times that we know it like the back of our hands. Then they are showing how flat, snowy and cold it is….icks..that is when I hated to drive it the most.

I never will claim to be from Indiana, I hate the politics of that state and the narrow mindness of it, so I claim Alaska. But I did live there for about 15yrs and you can not not be influenced by it. Like basic work ethic, that I don’t see from the kids here, police officers actually being nice while doing their job………..decent corn, pork, melon, the stuff down here either has no flavor, taste like water or is just bad……makes me feel as if I have conflicting personalities…….

We have been watching all the pre Super Bowl stuff, while trying to get a few things done. It is chilly down here and I haven’t been able to warm up yet, except for the shower. But we are waiting for the game anxiously………some more anxiously then the other.

I have downloaded Thunderbird from Mozilla. It took time but I got all the email stuff set up. I use to love my Outlook professional, but it has been pissing me off lately, so I switched. I have noticed that I’m not getting no where near the amount of spam that I normally get and that was with having norton anti-spam with the outlook. It is kind of nice, but makes me think that I didn’t set it up correctly even though I am getting email. I did notice that I can set it up for rss feeds, so I’m going to play around with that.

Work went much better today.  I got things done and keep my people focused on our Saturday priorities, so I was pleased.

Tomorrow is an extremely early day; the good thing is that I get off early.  So I can watch the Bears game, even if I should be getting my nails done.  =)

I don’t know what colors yet…..I know the Colts colors is one……….if the Saints win, there is their colors.  Maybe do every other nail with their colors?  Blue/White and Black/Gold?  Or is that too many colors?  Grin  Now if the Bears win…………that would be Dark Blue/Orange.

Problem is that I need to go to bed.  =(  So I don’t get to watch the Saints.  Hopefully Torn will remember to leave me message on who won.  =)
