The life of a big busted webgirl……

Happy New Year’s!!!

31 December, 2005

I had to work this evening. Got home to a steak dinner from my honey and getting ready to close up the office & chill out in the living room. I can’t stay up too late, I have to work in the morning.

But I want to wish everyone a Happy New Years!!

The only thing I would like is a little more time so I can spend it visiting my family. =)

Alright……on to football & some wine…grin

Thanks honey!

30 December, 2005

I had a great day on the 27th, thanks to my sweetie. =) Since I had to work on my b-day, I made sure I got that day off so I could have “my day”.

We went for a bike ride in the morning….it was chilly, but sunny. When we got home we got ready for our day. We had decided to go to the zoo , we hadn’t been there in a few years. The parking lot was packed and there was a line to get in, but it didn’t take long. And once we got in, it wasn’t too bad crowd wise like we feared. It was great to see all the animals. And Torn got me stuffed snow lepreod (Sp)….it is so cute. =)

We then went had italian for lunch. I was craving some pasta & sause…..mmm

Then we headed to the beach. We haven’t been there in a long while……it was sunny, the tide was out enough so we were able to fully walk it.

Here are a few pics of our day: Tuesday

It was just a great day to spend together.

I did get our tree down and all packed away that day, until it is time for it to come by out next year.

Since that day I’ve been working. I did get a show in Thursday morning on CamZ. My next show may be Tuesday am….just not sure which time slot.

Not too happy on how Michigan got robbed by the Cornhuskers due to the refs not having a clue…….gggrrrr Lets hope that Penn. St smashes FSU Tuesday night…..that I would love…grin

I hope all my members enjoyed the presents on Xmas eve and on Xmas day with the bonus holiday updates………grin

Right now I’m jamming out to a cd of classics, with one of them being my favorite Eine Kleine Nachtmucik (A little Night Music) by Mozart. I love that pieces. But then I played that on my violin for 4yrs in school, when I used to play.

I had found this really cool book : 700 Years of Classical Treasures : The Complete History of Classical Music…The Composers, Their Instruments, and Works It contains 8 cds, full of all sorts of great pieces. I just had to have it. So I’ve been jamming at home with this and in the truck, to my new Bon Jovi that Torn got me…..grin…..blasting of course.

We also have the LSU/Miami game on, so I’ve been trying to keep eye on it.

Joe Paterno is now being presented the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year award, I can’t think of anyone of more deserving and classy as hell. They just don’t make coaches like that anymore…..maybe Lou Holtz.

Now on to Beethoven’s 5th! How can you not love that one?!? I’ve never played that one, but I can just imagine all the bow movements, the build up, the emotion that is put into it….I can almost hear which string instrusment is playing what part……..I love it.

I’ve been working my rear end off since……

Work has been the only real dark cloud lately. I’ve been stressed with things there, not feeling as if I have as much authority as I should……maybe I’m just too old & set in my ways to deal with it the fact that I’m not fully in charge….some rules aren’t being enforced like I feel they should be……maybe I’m just picky….who knows……

Here we go……….Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven….

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

26 December, 2005

I had to work today, starting @ 5am….icks…but I got thru it and we did pretty good on getting things done.

When I got up this morning, Torn had my present on my desk. =) Here is what he got me : Present

I love them!

Torn wanted the truck today so I rode my bike in……now I know why, he had to get me my mint chocolate chip ice cream cake….my favorite.

Mom & Dad both called me a different times as they were running around to wish my happy birthday, of course dad starts out singing as if it is his birthday….the silly….grin My sister made me a cat in crafts. So I have that and the one she made me last year hanging by my desk.

A lot of folks have sent me e-cards……grin…..Thanks everyone!!!

I’m surprise I’m feeling as well as I am, since I’ve been up since 3:30am…..but I don’t think it’ll last much longer……..grin

Merry Christmas!

25 December, 2005

I hope everyone had a great day. And even those who had to work, remember the time that you got to spend with the ones you love.

Here are the pictures from our Xmas : Presents

Torn did good…..I now have new light purple towels for our bathroom (he didn’t believe that it was something I would want for a Xmas present, but it was), a new laptop back pack that I needed (already got things settled in it), a Bon Jovi cd & the yoga mat that I wanted with dvd (time for some morning exercises)….grin

I got him a new mouse, Airplane! (the movie) & John Madden football ‘06 for Xbox.

Unfortunately, I have to be in bed by 8pm tonight……need to be up by 3:30ish….icks! But I did get the 27th off…………grin

Have a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

24 December, 2005

Howdy everyone!

Thankfully my day is over work wise. It’ll be starting back up by 5am Monday, but for now I’m going to enjoy myself……..even if that means playing catch up on laundry……..grin

I do have a few other things I need to work on, but at least until Monday I can do it at my own pace. So I’m going to do a little of it now.

But here is a little holiday cheer for you : Santa Baby

2 More Days

23 December, 2005

2 more days before I find out what Torn got for me. =) A week from now the worst of everything will be over at work……I hope.

I’m getting ready to leave for work……not really wanting to go…..I have way too much of stuff that I want to do around here.

Anyway….I was just stopping in to say hi. I hope everyone has their shopping done. =)

DUDE ……

21 December, 2005

A monkey is sitting in a tree, smoking a joint, when a lizard walks past.

The lizard looks up and says to the monkey, “Hey! what are you doing?”

The monkey says “Smoking a joint, come up and join me, my cold-blooded friend.”

So the lizard climbs up and sits next to the monkey and they have another joint.

After a while the lizard says his mouth is ‘dry’, and that he’s going to get a drink from the river. At the riverbank, the lizard is so stoned that he leans too far over and falls in. A Crocodile sees
this and swims over to the stoned lizard, helping him to the side.

He then asks the lizard, “What’s the matter with you man?!”

The lizard explains to the crocodile that he was sitting in the tree, smoking a joint with his new monkey friend. He then explained how his mouth got dry, and that he was so wasted that, when
he went to get a drink from the river, he fell in!

The inquisitive crocodile says he has to check this out. He walks into the jungle and finds the tree where the monkey is sitting, finishing a joint.

He looks up and says “Hey, MONKEY!”

The Monkey looks down and says “FUUUUUCK, DUDE……. how much water did you drink?”

Funny Fwd.

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized >what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up

As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happen anyway.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less

NOW ——–

Enough of that crap . . .

The donkey later came back and bit the shit out of the farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the bite got infected, and the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.

MORAL FROM TODAY’S LESSON:
When you do something wrong and try to cover your ass, it always comes back to bite you

Larkspur??

20 December, 2005

A co-worker showed me this book called Colorstrology : What Your Birthday Color Says About You

It states my color is Larkspur?? I’ve never even heard of it….

This is what it has to say about my birthday : Dec. 26th

Larkspur

Complex
Courageous
Restless

If you were born on this day :
It is best for you to be in a position of authority. It is not a great idea for you to follow someone else’s rules. Courageous and complex, you are not always easily understood. You want to know what makes things tick. You are concerned about the core of a situtaion, not the appearance of things. Part of your challenge is to learn how to work with a partner. Receptivity and diplomacy are needed in your exchanges with others.

How this color benefits you : Wearing, meditating, or surrounding yourself with the color Larkspur helps you combine your depth with subtlety and grace.

Compatible birthdays : February 10 * March 20 * July 12

I don’t put much stock in this (especially when I looked up my family birthdays and none of it applies to them) but boy this one about my day………so true. When it comes to work, I have to be in charge of domain or just someone who comes in and leaves when the shift is over. I also love figuring our things came to be, the whys and the hows.

When it comes to diplomacy, I gave up on that a long time ago. I suck at beating around the bush. I find it easier to just to get it all out in the open and tell it truthfully.

This is was just to weird of “who you are” kind of thing, that I just had to share………..grin

Christmas Birthdays

20 December, 2005

Christmas birthdays take the cake

Morgan says being born on Christmas Day wasn’t a horrible thing. Getting buried by presents every Dec. 25 more than compensated for those long dry spells the rest of the year.

“I think if you were born between Dec. 26 and Dec. 30, that would be a lot worse,” Morgan says. “Because by then, everybody’s tired.”

**This is so true for Dec. 26th. Unlike this Morgan……I never got extra presents unless it was from my folks. Most folks would make my Christmas present my birthday present and to top that off, it was normally no better or cheaper…..it was annoying to even get people to remember my birthday.
