I made sure I had today off from work. I know Torn doesn’t really care that it is his birthday but I like to try and do something special for him. So I got him the Calvin & Hobbes collection. Nothing much, but I try in small ways to let him know how I feel. =) I also stopped and got him a cookies & cream ice cream cake.

We spent the day being bums in front of the TV. I did start the laundry………not sure if I’m going to get around to putting it away……grin

I did get all of our xmas cards signed and sealed, now if I had only remembered to have brought the stamps the other day…….lol That is the only thing left for me to get and then they are out the door. =)

I also got the kids’ presents wrapped. Still need to get one more for my oldest niece, what we got her is just too young for her so I’ll be returning that. Once we get that, we can get them shipped.

I took pictures of the house today so I can send them to my family to show how far it has come since we moved here. Just need to get them up. =)

We are planning on seeing the Harry Potter movie this Friday & then I’ll be putting our tree up. I don’t believe in putting my tree up until it is December.

That was our day. =) Maybe, if I feel like it, I’ll do some emails….lol

Just wanted to wish everyone a great Thanksgiving! I hope your meals was as good as ours.

This is the time of year of when I miss being with my family, so I’ll be keeping them in my thoughts.

My blog has just confused the heck out of me……

I use firefox as my main browser, so I’m use to some of the graphics not showing up. For some reason today I looked at it with IE & I’m missing like 3 links?! I’m missing Devon’s Blog, Porn Tart & Blogwise …and all 3 had a graphic?

Of course, I just discovered this & now I’m too tired to try and figure it out. So I know what I’m doing the next time I have time……but this is weird, at least for me……lol So I’m just going to put a text link up for now. I must have done something goofy………lol

I have to work tomorrow, so we had our dinner today. Torn makes a mean meal……mmmmm Boy, I am stuffed. =)

I started my day off with a show on CamZ….grin

Then I went & cleaned our bathrooms. The contractor had finally came by and fixed the tile in the master yesterday so I got them cleaned up and got our stuff back into the master bathroom from the spare.

The contractor also finally got the baseboard trim done. So when I get time, I want to take some pictures with the painting we’ve done and to show mom & dad how the house looks after we worked on it.

I got the laundry caught up, the never ending battle……lol I did get all my xmas card address labels done. That took a lot longer then I thought it would and I still didn’t get them to line up exactly right when I printed them out. =( Didn’t help that I had to restart my pc just to get it to recognize the printer. But all the cards are addressed and just need to be signed and stamped. =) And I’ll probably get them signed on my next day off.

Last night Torn & I went on got the kids thier Xmas presents. There is only one or two more things we want to get & then we’ll be finished. I was going to wrap them today, but I got busy working on a few other things. I also want to take pictures of everything so mom & dad will know what we got so we don’t accidently get the same thing.

Talked to dad the other day about getting the kids for about a month in the summer. I would like to get both mom & dad down here. I don’t know why I can’t get dad to visit. =( But I would like for them to fly down with the kids down so we can visit and then they leave the kids with us for a few weeks. I have a few months to convince dad………..grin

I think I’ll spend a little time working on my reorganizing some of my files.

It has been a pretty good weekend on getting things to done. I was able to get the bulk of my redesign done for my other site, reorganize the structure of it, laundry done, garage cleaned up, made some oatmeal cookies, did some vaccuming, moved the office around…….and got pictures of Florida for my niece’s 3rd grade class. =) I even caught up on some of my email.

It helped that both Purdue & the Colts won this weekend…………grin

But now I’m getting ready to head to bed, I have a very early day tomorrow. =)

One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap.

Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, and continues to read her book. Along comes a game warden in his boat.

He pulls up alongside the woman and says, “Good morning Ma’am. What are you doing?”

“Reading a book,” she replies, (thinking, “Isn’t that obvious?”)

“You’re in a restricted fishing area,” he informs her.

“I’m sorry officer, but I’m not fishing. I’m reading.”

“Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I’ll have to take you in and write you up.”

“If you do that, I’ll have to charge you with sexual assault,” says the woman.

“But I haven’t even touched you,” says the game warden.

“That’s true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment.”

“Have a nice day ma’am,” and he left.

I’ve been busy at work. Between my boss being off for a week and having big wigs scheduled to be here Monday, so I’ve been trying to get things done.

It has been warm until just a few hours ago. They have been predicting a cold front for the last few days but it just hadn’t moved until today. It has been nice to have the cool. We are able to have our windows open & sleep without the air! I love that. =)

But it now looks like we may have another storm headed our way : Gamma It is November already!! The season for hurricanes is suppose to be over!! But then so is tornado season in the Midwest. =( Those are scary.

Last week we noticed that our dryer was no longer heating. =( That was not good, it is only about 5-6yrs old. We were going to get a repair guy out here, but after looking a few things up online we decided to try it ourself. We ordered a fuse & it got here yesterday. Torn got it in & it now works! Amazing how much better I feel knowing that we have a working dryer again. =)

Today was my day off. Our niece had sent us a “Flat Stanley” from her 3rd grade class. It is a paper doll that they mail out to learn about new places when you send them back. So I sent off a post card to her class from “Stanley” and we went to the beach to take pictures. I’m waiting until next week to send him back with the pictures cuz I want the post card to get there before he does. =)

I’ve been working on the redesign of a few sites. It is taking a bit more time that I thought it would, but right now we have the time. So I’m going to get to work on that this evening & tomorrow I’m going to attack our receipts since they are stacking up.
