As you saw from the previous post, today is Torn & my 7th Wedding Anniversary. =) So we spent the day out of the house & spending some quality time together.

We started out with going out for breakfast and then we took a long drive to a place called Wolf Park. On the way over we got to see the remains of an accident that looked like it was caused by bad judgement��Torn & I just started laughing & then it dawned on us that we had a camera with us. This is what we saw:

That was just too funny�..it wasn�t even raining�..just really, really windy�.and overcast at times.

Well, we finally got to Wolf Park, it is a great place to go to if you love nature. We love it and hadn�t been there in years. At this park the wolves social structure is fully decided by the wolves themselves & not determined by people. The wolves are socialized to be made comfortable around humans in the sense of being taken care of and the removal of their natural instinct of flight. They do remove wolves that have fallen to far down on the social structure that they would be killed if they remained in the pack. They are then put into their own enclosure for their safety.

Unfortunately the fences got in the way of better pics but here is a few of them.

This is some of the first wolf pups born here in the last couple of years. By the time they are 10-14 days old they are removed from their mother and humans become their �den mothers� for the next few weeks just to become use to their presence.

They do have other animals at Wolf Park and that includes some foxes��.they are so cute�..

One of their long time residents is a coyote named Wild Bill. Now the life time of a coyote in captivity is about 13yrs (if I remembered correctly), well this one is over 17ys old and is great health except for some joint problems. I just thought that was really cool.

They also have their own bison herd. Where they do live demonstrations of how a pack will try to take one down. No they do not allow one to be injured. =) What they will do is put maybe 3 wolves in an enclosure with a couple of bison, well bison are about 2000#…..2-3 wolves are not going to be able to take them down, but you can watch to see how they work together.

We also went to one of the small local historical parks, didn�t get much pics there but we it wouldn�t be an outing with one of our �taking our own pic� pic. =)

Just wanted to shout out to my love, Happy Anniversary!!!!!! I love you sweetie!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!

Today I finally started to work on organizing my family & travel pics. A lot of them had doubles in different areas. It has been a mess for a while and it was starting to drive me batty. Lol That took some time to do.

Right now I’m in the process of transferring some of our cat pics that Torn had on his pc and put on the sever and is now going the back from the server to my hard drive. I don’t plan on keeping them on my hard drive, takes up way too much space. But I want to make sure they are organized and then make copies on cds before I remove them off my drive.

I made copies of the family & travel pics that we have for my mom, my long term goal is to learn how to thumb nail them & link them up on my family site. I figured that would be the easiest way to do it. =)

I already started working on the index page for it, feel kind of silly “explaining” that site in case strangers run into it……even though it is very highly unlikely. =) I used, I guess you would call it, a kind of template that dreamweaver had…trying to do something a little different.

Tomorrow I’m going to have Torn show me how to pop that up on the server under it’s own domain & do some of the thumbnails, since I have no clue how to do it….lol

We did have some excitement around here…..of course it timed itself with the horrible game the Pacers played……we got hit with some severe thunderstorms. It got really, really dark out and the rain came down in blowing sheets of water…..it was rough, of course when it calmed it got even darker and next thing you know the tornado sirens are going.

Torn was downstairs watching the game, I was upstairs with the local channel on when I heard them go off. I had already gotten dressed just in case, so I grabbed Alexis, my purse, shoes, & headed down stairs. The safest place in our house is the downstairs bathroom, so I threw Alexis in there, saw Aurora grabbed her, Torn was chasing down Reggie….who is freaking out thinking he’s in trouble, so of course he starts growling & hissing. We got them all in the bathroom, Alexis was crying up a storm, very loudly I might add…lol. A funnel cloud had been spotted east of us and that was the direction the storm was moving, so we were ok but the storm had the potential for more of them. So we waited, ate supper, watched the game & listen to babies cry in the bathroom for over an hour before Torn felt it was safe to let them out.

I had to call mom & dad when I saw that a storm system was headed their way…..it missed them, so that was cool.

It was just another spring/summer day in Indiana weather wise. Indiana is on the edge of “Tornado Alley”, so we do get them, but luckily we don’t normally get them as bad as Oklahoma, Nebraska or any of those states….they get some really deadly ones.

I think I spent enough time in front of the pc today….lol

Hey!

We totally bummed this morning. lol I did finally get my ass moving & mowed the back yard, so I did do something around here. =)

Got a call from my mom, my cousin had her baby this early morning. Another boy….lol…that makes 3 and she really wants a daughter. =) Sounds like she had a rough one but is doing ok.

One of my friends had a graduation party today. It was nice, even though I didn’t know many folks there. I swear that girl knows or is related to just about everyone……lol.

Some of our friends from our former place of work came by & we were able to visit and play catch up. That was cool, cuz I miss everyone.

Even though I didn’t know, but a few members of her family, it was nice to see the family atmosphere. Makes me wish my family would do a reunion thing. Just to be able to visit with folks that have known you since you were in diapers & see how everyone has changed & the new kids and family members.

She had her graduation party a few small towns over, in a wooded area. It was nice. It was a nice little drive to it, with it being a beautiful day. I miss doing that, just taking a drive without actually going anywhere in particular. The little towns I went through were nice little Midwest towns with all the greenery, old houses and just a “Rockwell” feel to it. Nice places to have a house & have family around.

We are expecting storms to hit tonight & through tomorrow, so I’ll be bumming around here tomorrow. Suppose to be nicer come Monday. I hope to get Torn out of the house & do something that day…..going stir crazy here…..lol.

I’m going to catch up on some of my mags. =)

Hey!

Nothing major going on here. Wednesday I got my poor truck vacuumed out for the first time in over a year, the last time it was done, my folks did it cuz they borrowed it. That is so sad, I love my truck but lazy……lol

We spent most of Wednesday catching up on all our programs we have recorded but haven’t watched cuz of the NBA games. Pacers lost =( damn………that game sucked.

Thursday was just blah…..nothing else comes close to describing it. I did get some receipts entered…..The cameras for housecamz keep freezing up, big time. So we had them off until the evening.

***I originally started this to be posted last night, but got one of those tummy upsetting headaches. I think I was at the pc too much. What sucked about that was I was planning on jumping into housecamz chat.

Today we got some of our plants & stuff we wanted to give to my folks loaded into my truck. And took them out to my folks & then spent most of the day visiting. I forgot that mom had to work, so I didn’t get to see her as much as I wanted. =( But mom gave me her cd of pics, so I’m going to make a copy so when I finally get to working on the family site I have some of the pics. =)

Dad was working on plumbing, which that man is always working on some project. They are working on the upstairs cuz they want to move the kids up there. I like it since it is more contained.

The kids……….they are always fighting for attention…..aunt this, aunt that……wow….it is enough to make my head spin….lol…that is ok, I put them to work. They love to help, so I had them watering all the plants. =) Sneaky, use them before they learn to avoid work….grin.

I think I’m going to pop into housecamz chat….. =)

Hello Everyone!

Today was productive, just not as much as yesterday. I had a few things to finish up in the cat room & some laundry from yesterday. But I did get some straightening up done & attacked the house with the vacuum. I swear I’m going to shave my cats one day…..lol….they make the house look like such a pig pen….and we try so hard to keep up.

Torn went & picked up LOTR: ROTK……..we have been waiting for it come out. We have watched the first 2 a couple of hundred times & seen the last one in the theatre…..but wanted to see it again so bad…. So we watched that this afternoon.. =) Of course, it is very long so we had to be ready for our camz show before we even sat down. When it was done we didn’t have much to do to get ready. =)

That was pretty much it for the day, except……I use a different lotion on my face for tanning…..and now………my face is beet red….lol…sad…. you would think I would learn. =)
